With its rolling slopes and vast expanse of trees, Woldgate Woods is a perfect spot for picnics, camping, and long hikes. This 79 mile trail, which takes around 6 days to complete, is the perfect way to explore this beautiful English county.
Start in Hessle, a small town on the banks of the Humber Estuary, and make your way through the lovely villages of the Yorkshire Wolds, such as Kilham, Bainton, and Nafferton, to reach the trail’s northern end in Filey.
Along the way, take in the rolling hills, wildflower meadows, and breathtaking views of the sea.
The route also passes many historic sites, including the ruins of Skipsea Castle and the remains of a Roman road.
Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply looking for a relaxing walk, the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail is sure to provide a unique and unforgettable experience.
Spend a Day at Hornsea Freeport Shopping Centre
After taking in the picturesque views of the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail, I’m ready to take a break and do some shopping. Thankfully, I’m only a short drive away from Hornsea Freeport Shopping Centre, a great day out and one of the best things to do in East Yorkshire, England.
Hornsea Freeport Shopping Centre has a great selection of stores, with something for everyone. I was able to find a few bargains in the designer outlet stores, while my friends picked up some great items from the high street stores.
The centre also has a great selection of restaurants and cafes, perfect for stopping off and refueling before heading back out again. The centre also has regular special events, so there’s always something new to experience.
Overall, I had a great day out at Hornsea Freeport Shopping Centre. It’s a great place to find great deals, explore the range of stores, and enjoy the special events. I’m already planning my next visit!
