After walking along the Thames Path, why not take a scenic walk from Seasalter to Reculver? This route is about 6 miles and takes around 3 hours, but it’s well worth the effort for the amazing views.
I started my journey at Seasalter, where I was immediately impressed by the beauty of the coastline and the vast expanse of water. I followed the path as it snaked along the coast, stopping to take in the views of the Kentish countryside.
I eventually arrived in Reculver, where I was rewarded with an incredible view of the old Roman fort. The fort has been standing since Roman times and provides a fascinating insight into the history of the area.
Along the way, I also had the chance to spot some of the local wildlife, including various breeds of birds and wildfowl.
All in all, it was an incredible experience and one of the best walks I’ve ever done in Whitstable.
Herne Bay to Whitstable Woods
Heading from Herne Bay to Whitstable Woods is a great way to explore the beauty of the Kentish coast. This 5-mile route follows the coastline and takes you through the picturesque villages of Herne and Chestfield. Along the way, you’ll find plenty of quaint pubs and cafes, as well as breathtaking views of the sea.
