Thorndon Country Park

Back To Events Wildlife Footprints

Wildlife enthusiasts large and small are invited to Thorndon South Country Park throughout the summer holidays.

Walk through the woods searching for animal footprint trailmarkers, solve clues and answer questions as you fill in your trail booklet. Then return to the Pavilion Cafe for a well done gift.

This trail runs from Saturday 22 July to Sunday 3 September, 10am to 4pm. No need to book, simply turn up and buy a trail pack for £3 from the Pavilion Cafe.

This includes your guide booklet, a map and a gift for you to collect at the end of your trail. The route will take approximately 60 minutes and will be on made paths. This trail is ideal for families with children between 5 and 12, with plenty of places to stop for a picnic along the way.

Ice creams plus hot and cold food will is available from the Cafe. Well behaved dogs are welcome. A small pay and display charge will apply for car parking, which goes back into maintaining the park. The ground should be nice and dry, but not all paths may be suitable for some buggies.
