Take an atmospheric stroll through the park at twilight, spotting any wildlife out and about for the evening, before making yourself cosy around our blazing campfire.
Enjoy a complimentary hot drink around the fire and sip it as you listen to evocative tales of magic, myth and folklore. Stories will enthral young and old alike and feature the talents of Kenneth Bruce of the Leigh Storytelling Circle. Then wrap up your visit by toasting your own marshmallow over the embers to enjoy a marshmallow biscuit sandwich.
There are two time slots to choose from. Stories will be chosen to suit the groups attending and any special requirements (eg veggie marshmallows) can be catered for if you advise us when you make your booking. Please wrap up for a chilly evening and bring a torch. Meet us at the Lakes car park.
Tickets cost £7 per person and must be pre-booked. We recommend this event for children six years and up and adults, although younger children are welcome if parents are happy they will come along on a 10-15 minute walk and approximately 45 mins of storytelling. Regrettably, due to low light and terrain, the event is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs but please do contact us with any queries.
A small pay and display charge applies to cars which goes back into maintaining the park.
