The Spirit of Essex Festival features a packed programme of outdoor activities and events designed to inspire more of us to explore and enjoy the diverse heritage, culture, nature and habitats that Essex has to offer.

Yoga Unites - 8 June

For all those interested in wellbeing and mindfulness a new one-day yoga festival with camping: Yoga Unites, will take place at Cressing Temple Barns on 8 June.   People will have the opportunity to try different yoga styles and meet Yoga professionals.

Royal Opera House - 11 June

Join us at Cressing Temple Barns for The Royal Opera House screening of Romeo and Juliet brought to you by BP Big Screens. 

Treasure Island - 14 June

Finally, families can enjoy an Outdoor Theatre performance of Treasure Island on the coastal island setting of Cudmore Grove Country Park on Mersea Island.

Essex Threads Conference - 15 June

A one-day event on 15 June to appeal to history and fashion fans, will run at the Essex Records Office, with an opening talk by Edwina Ehrman, curator of the Victoria & Albert Museum’s ‘Fashioned from Nature’ Exhibition.  More details to follow

Planet Essex - 22 June

Planet Essex at Cressing Temple Barns will take place on 22 June with something for all the family. The London Junk Orchestra will be making instruments with children and performing on the day. Children will have the chance to attend Forest School and make dens and adults can attend demonstrations, explore the Eco market place and even enjoy the official Planet Essex cocktail! 

Starlight Cinema - 28th and 29th June
Starlight Cinema will be at Cressing on 28th June and Great Notley Country Park on 29th June with outdoor cinema screenings of Bohemian Rhapsody
