Introduction to Beekeeping

Cressing Temple

Back To Events A group of beekeepers

Whether you are thinking of getting your own hives or are just fascinated by the hardworking honeybee, this is a chance to get up close to these amazing insects and learn about their care.

British bee keeper, Jan, will be showing you how to use wax products, teaching you about bees and a guided visit to our hives. Plus you will get the chance to taste some honey and ask any questions that you may have about bees.

Also you will be able to make your own beeswax candle to take home and keep. With limited spaces available, we advise you to book early on this workshop.

Please dress for a crisp winters day, wear sturdy shoes, and either bring along a packed lunch or provision to buy lunch in the onsite Tiptree Barns tearoom. Parking is free.
