Belhus Woods Conservation Volunteers

Belhus Woods Country Park

Back To Events A variety of volunteering tasks including planting young trees and logging

Join our weekly volunteer group and learn new skills, whilst helping the environment and wildlife.

Volunteering at Belhus Woods is hands-on. A great way to meet people, learn about conservation, get a bit of exercise and make a difference.

This winter we will be tackling many different tasks such as coppicing and dead-hedging in the woodlands, planting new trees in hedgerows and coppice plots, making firewood and layering hazel trees.

Come and help our rangers with practical work that makes out country park a great place for people and wildlife. Onsite training is given in many different tasks. All tools provided; just make sure you have strong footwear and suitable outdoor clothing.
