Are you keen to explore the park after dark and see some secretive night time wildlife?
Join the Rangers in the park at night looking for bats. Listen out for a range of native species using bat detectors and spot them swooping over the lake to feed. Belhus Woods Country park is an ideal place to spot bats with Common Pipistrelles, Soprano Pipistrelles and Daubenton's regularly seen on site in the evenings. This walk is ideal for bat lovers of most ages, although the darkness and bumpy terrain mean it is not suitable for pushchairs.
Please meet at the visitor centre and wrap warmly for a chilly night, plus bring along your torch and your bat detector if you have one! If you are coming by car there is a small pay and display parking charge which goes back into maintaining the park.
